Fans Rally in Support of P1Harmony’s Keeho Amid Backlash Over Controversial Remark on Unemployment
5 min readP1Harmony’s Keeho recently received backlash for a remark he made about unemployed people. Keeho is active on the fan communication app Fromm, where fans can communicate with their idols in group chats. After an anonymous poster uploaded screenshots to an internet forum on May 11, some of the messages he sent on the app drew negative attention from the internet. Keeho wrote his supporters a series of short texts in which he expressed his curiosity about the lives of people he meets on the street. When I’m driving, I often think about the lives of people walking on the street. The kind of life they lead intrigues me. The first thing I wonder when I see students is whether they are having fun at school or if it is difficult for them today.
i know y’all wasn’t getting on him cause he asked what ur parents do if ur unemployed?? is that not a normal question?

What are they majoring in? Imagining them living a life I can never experience or understand is fun. According to him, he tries to imagine life from a student or office worker’s perspective, wondering if they’re happy where they’re at. As well, he wonders what unemployed people’s parents do professionally when he sees them. There were some people who took Keeho’s remark as disrespectful to unemployed people, specifically. In response to the backlash, the idol clarified his intent in a new message. Most netizens defended him after a fan posted his apology on a Korean forum, saying that what he had initially said was not malicious. However, some felt that the comment was inappropriate for an idol-fan conversation.
even without context there’s nothing wrong with what keeho said like if youre mad you’re probably one of those unemployed no life ambition leeching off of parents person he was talkin bout and offended that u got called out 😂😂😭🫵🏾 https://t.co/s1NyV7vROa

P1Harmony’s Keeho Receives Backlash For Comments Made About Unemployed People
To communicate with his fans, P1Harmony’s Keeho went online for his fan communication platform, Fromm, on May 11, 2023. Among the many subjects he spoke about, his remark regarding unemployed people piqued the interest of followers. The hero covered the sorts of aspirations that working people have, but he also mentioned the types of dreams that the parents of jobless people have. People on the internet were outraged to hear the same, given how contentious the subject is. Many individuals believed that the idol was insulting and humiliating jobless people. When a fan expressed their dissatisfaction in a forum comment to Keeho, Fromm, the idol, quickly apologised for his conduct and indicated that he shouldn’t have said what he said. It began out nicely when P1Harmony’s Keeho got online to connect with his followers in the community, Fromm. Fans thought the star was openly sharing his ideas about what he saw around him, and they were delighted to hear the same. While many people agreed with Keeho at first, the trouble began when the conversation turned to jobless individuals. While driving, I get a lot of thoughts about the lives of individuals that stroll along the street. I’m curious about their way of life. When I observe pupils, I worry if they enjoy school or if it is difficult for them today. I’m curious about what they’re studying. It’s entertaining to envision them enjoying a life I’ll never know or comprehend.
the difference is that keeho is actually doing something with his life and you all are still unemployed and living at your parents house fighting on the internet that’s the thing! bc employed ppl with lives don’t act like this!! it’s simple really

He then goes on to discuss people, their employment, and their dreams: When I see employees, I wonder what dreams they had and whether they’re happy with their jobs right now. If they’re content, that’s fantastic. When I encounter unemployed folks, I frequently wonder what their parents do for a living. While many believed it was insensitive to the unemployed population, supporters quickly rallied to protect the idol. Many admirers thought Keeho’s comment was reasonable and not too far off the mark. Fans thought the idol’s stance was acceptable, considering that he was aiming to highlight the benefit that some individuals have of not having to work for a wage yet living satisfying lives. However, because the tone in the Fromm discussion had been extremely icy to P1Harmony’s Keeho, he felt compelled to apologise for his statements in case they had offended anyone. I didn’t want to say anything unpleasant previously, but it appears that I was misinterpreted…I apologise…I’ll be more careful not to irritate P1eces. While the star continued to face criticism for his remarks on unemployed people, supporters thought he wasn’t in the wrong and that he didn’t need to apologise because his remarks were not far from reality.
lengthy post, but i’m so fed up of people purposefully misunderstanding keeho. especially kfans. he should NOT have to apologize for saying things that aren’t even worth being upset over. i won’t qrt the koreaboo article, but seriously, keeho did nothing wrong in the first place.
