On August 1, 2022, Mr. Beast made the long-awaited news. A private island will be given away to one lucky subscriber, he revealed in his YouTube Shorts video, rather than his becoming the second independent YouTuber to have more than 100 million followers.

MrBeast is heard stating in the video, “I recently reached the 100 million subscriber mark on YouTube, so I thought what better way to celebrate than to buy a sizable private island and then fly 100 arbitrary subscribers there to compete for it.”

The upcoming video, he continued, will be the “craziest” one he has ever shot, and it will debut on Thursday, August 4, at 4 PM ET.

The first commenter on the video would earn a monetary award of $10,000, he continued.

The YouTuber did not go into depth about how he selected the 100 randomly selected followers or other aspects of what is anticipated to occur.

Insights from the film, however, indicate that the task may require contestants to build a fire or swim.

Previous contests MrBeast has held

The YouTuber has spent a lot of money on other promotions outside the island prize.

He invited 200 randomly selected subscribers to compete for $500,000 in a “last one to quit” challenge in a previous competition. The final contestant to leave the circle won $500,000 for their whole team in the video, which comprised 100 males and 100 girls.

Subscribers and viewers were subjected to a variety of mini-challenges throughout the film.

Numerous related videos on MrBeast’s channel have amassed over one million likes each. However, the Squid Game challenge is still by far his most well-liked upload. The Squid Game video has a staggering 277 million views as of the time this article was written.
