Tony Bennett died at the age of 96
It was heartbreaking for all to know recently that Tony Bennett died on the 21st of July at the age of 96. Tony was suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. As he was diagnosed with the same back in the year 2016. The music industry was mourning the demise of the late singer.
Above all though, it was Lady Gaga for whom the news was hard to deal. Gaga has been known as one of the closest friends of Tony Bennett. She even shared an emotional post on social media recently that showed the depth of her bond with her late friend.

Lady Gaga shares an emotional post on Tony Bennett’s demise
For Lady Gaga the demise of her dear friend Tony Bennett has been the toughest of all to face this year. She even posted an emotional statement on losing Tony Bennett.
In her statement she wrote, “I will miss my friend forever. I will miss singing with him, recording with him, talking with him, being on stage together. With Tony, i got to live my life in a time warp”.
She further wrote, “Tony & i had this magical power”. “We transported ourselves to another era, modernized the music together, & gave it all new life as a singing duo” she said in her statement. Gaga called her friendship with Tony to be something very real and not an “act”.
