According to Elon Musk new biography, his hasty connection with Amber Heard was a ‘black vortex’ with enduring anguish to this day. In April 2017, the 52-year-old revealed he was seeing the Aquaman actor following her public split from Johnny Depp, 60, which led to a lengthy legal fight. They dated on and off for a year until he revealed his relationship with singer Grimes, 35, with whom he has three children, in 2018. Musk is alleged to have been following Heard, 37, since 2013 when she participated in Machete Kills but their relationship wound up being ‘brutal’. According to biographer Walter Isaacson, the Tesla CEO was dragged ‘into a dark vortex’ during the time they rendered things official.

He went on to say, ‘That lasted well over a year and generated a deep-seated ache that persists to this day.’ According to The Los Angeles Times, Isaacson also said that Musk’s ‘brother and friends detested her with a passion’ and described it as a ‘hellacious’ era. They allegedly met in 2014, when Heard went on a tour of SpaceX and was offered a private ride in the founder’s Tesla. The Magic Mike XXL actress was apparently enamoured with the computer mogul, telling the biographer, ‘I think I could be termed a nerd for someone who can also be considered a hot lady.’ Musk is alleged to have gone over to Australia to visit Heard as she was filming the DC hero film during their romance.

In the book, Elon Musk, SpaceX founder & Tesla CEO, and Amber Heard, 37, discuss their affair, which they made public in April 2017. The couple dated on and off in the months that followed until finally breaking up in 2018. The actress stunned Musk on his birthday in June 2016 by popping out with flowers from the back of a Tesla, and she created a costume which she could role-play after Musk said she reminded him of an individual from the Overwatch video game. Apparently to The Los Angeles Times, Isaacson also said that Musk’s ‘brother and friends detested her with a passion’ and described it as a ‘hellacious’ era. But the romance was not without conflict. In his memoir, Musk says of their relationship, “It was brutal.” Heard, for her part, told Isaacson that she continues to adore her ex “very much,” adding, “Elon enjoys fire, and on occasion it burns him.”
When Isaacson asked Musk why he falls for such kinds of people, he said, “I’m simply a fool for love.” I am frequently a fool, particularly when it comes to love.” According to his new biography, Musk’s personal life was rough between 2017 and 2018. Isaacson writes of a 2017 incident in which then-Tesla president Jon McNeill discovered Musk asleep on the floor of a conference room with the lights turned off, just before the billionaire was supposed to participate in a Tesla earnings call with analysts. Musk finally moved after around 30 minutes. “He came from a comatose state,” McNeill wrote of his employer, “to a place where we were able to place him in the chair, get other individuals in the room, get him through his opening statement, and afterwards cover for him.” After that event, Musk stated that he needed to lie down and turn out the lights, a situation that McNeill claims would occur five or six times.
