Dwyane Wade explains whether he and Gabrielle Union divided everything 50/50. During an appearance on the “Club Shay Shay” podcast, Union explained Union’s viral quotes last month about the couple going half on their finances after reading “think pieces” about his character as a man. When Wade, 41, and Union, 50, were working in Florida, Wade quipped during an argument that they were living in my house that I paid for. They decided to contribute equally to their household. Wade remembered his wife saying, ‘You won’t say that to me again when it’s something we share.’

My wife told me when we moved to Los Angeles, you won’t say “my house” again – you can say it at the arena! Wade and the “Bring It On” alum Gabrielle Union shared just three things “50/50.” They shared expenses for their daughter Kaavia’s four-year-old and their house. The NBA star added that we decided to share certain pieces of our lives. Wade said he spends ample money on Union to keep their relationship “spicy” and “sexy.” He shares two children with his ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches — Zaire, 21, and Zaya, 16 — as well as a son with his ex-Aja Métoyer.

Dwyane Wade Explains Why He Signed A Prenuptial Agreement With Gabrielle Union

Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade have been quite the power couple ever since they married in 2014. In addition to appearing in commercials together, the couple has earned plenty of attention over the years. According to Union, she and Wade split everything 50/50 in an interview with Bloomberg Originals last month. Given that Wade earned $198 million from NBA contracts alone, the comments came as a surprise to many. Wade talked about this in an interview with NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe on Club Shay Shay. Additionally, he and his wife support other family members with their own funds. Nevertheless, when it comes to their shared lives, they divide everything. Wade also discussed the prenups the two signed, saying he was willing to sign one himself given how hard Union works for her money: “Let’s say I have 20 to 50 responsibilities and my wife has 20 to 50 responsibilities, and when I say that, that means she has her mother, she has her sisters, she has her father, she has a lot of things she’s responsible for.” What is it that she does? She pays the entire amount. What exactly do I do? I pay my entire life.

As for the prenup, Wade described how she and Wade worked out things together, reaching an agreement: “I told her the same thing, “I’ll sign a prenup as well.” You’ve made a million dollars. You have money. You put forth a lot of effort for yourself. Given that fans were both bewildered and upset by Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade’s breakup, let’s take a look at what she stated. The situation gets considerably apparent after considering the two’s responses. Union’s statements about dividing things 50/50 and feeling compelled to work to support her family include, as Wade mentioned, supporting her parents and sisters. It’s strange to claim I’m the head of the home because we divide everything 50/50 in our house. For the other houses that we must support, it always feels as though there is a gorilla on your back telling you, “You better work!” And it’s difficult. I now have greater financial responsibility. I feel concerned when a movie doesn’t start; will I have enough to keep everyone waiting? Fortunately, internet estimates place Union’s net worth at $40 million, indicating that she’s done rather well for herself.
