Drake was forced to halt his show at Apollo Theater in New York City after a fan fell from the balcony section into the crowd below.

Drake stopped his Apollo show for a few minutes to attend a fan who fell from balcony

Drake finally performed at the Apollo Theatre in Harlem located in New York over the weekend. Moreover, it was the second of the two concerts that were sponsored by SiriusXM.

In addition, Drake brought collaborator 21 Savage for a series of duets nearly an hour and a half after he took the stage at the historic theatre.

However, before the duo could begin their set, a man suddenly dropped from the 2nd-floor balcony and into the middle of the orchestra pit.

Drake and 21 Savage immediately rushed from the stage after a crew member informed them about the accident.

The One Dance rapper stated to the audience, ‘Just gotta make sure somebody’s okay.’

Meanwhile, the venue lights were switched on with the security guards running through the crowd and to the place where the fan landed.

According to reports, after around fifteen minutes, the venue members announced that no one was critically injured by the accident.

A man told the audience over the loudspeaker, ‘Everybody is absolutely okay. They are being checked on. Nobody’s hurt. But I got even better news for you: We’re at the Apollo so the show must go on.’

Drake and 21 Savage then came back to the stage to continue to perform songs from their joint album, ‘Her Loss’ which was released in 2022.

The 36-year-old musician said  ‘Let’s just make some noise so that everybody’s okay. I feel like they had to wait like 10 minutes, we should go up a little more.’

Drake expressed his gratitude at the end of his Apollo Theater performance

Drake thanked his fans for their energy throughout the night following his concert at the Apollo Theatre.

Additionally, he then went on to perform his final song of the night, ‘Legend.’

He called at the mic, ‘This crowd is an absolute 10 out of 10. I’m so happy tonight. We apologize for the delays and all that s*it, but thank you for an evening of gratitude.’

The Canadian native continued, ‘It’s nights like these that let me know I have the greatest job in the world. I feel like you, again, give me the confidence to know after all these years, after all the nos that we’ve heard, after all the doors that slammed in our faces.’
