These claims surfaced after Diddy’s arrest on September 16, 2024, on sex trafficking charges. At the same time, speculation about Michael Jackson’s death investigation being reopened also gained traction online. However, these sensational claims are unsubstantiated, with no factual basis.
The rumors originated from platforms like Reddit and TikTok, where users posted about supposed discoveries during an FBI raid of Diddy’s home. A Reddit user claimed they saw a video suggesting an underground tunnel connected Diddy’s residence to Jackson’s house. Another Instagram post added that the FBI had found the tunnel after moving Diddy’s bed aside and discovering a hidden entrance beneath a rug. Allegedly, officers found children’s clothing in the tunnel, adding to the controversy.
Adding fuel to the fire, a TikTok video circulated that claimed the FBI had reopened Michael Jackson’s murder case, implicating Diddy in the deaths of not only Jackson but also Aaliyah, Tupac, and Biggie Smalls. These wild allegations spread quickly, prompting many to believe that there was a hidden connection between Diddy and the late pop icon Michael Jackson.
Despite the viral nature of these claims, no credible evidence supports any of these assertions. Law enforcement has not confirmed the existence of a tunnel, nor have they made any announcements regarding reopening Jackson’s case. In fact, many of the claims are entirely fabricated or based on misinterpretations of real events.
The rumors of Diddy’s mansion having an underground tunnel connected to other celebrities’ homes first surfaced in 2015, following similar online conspiracy theories. Allegations tied Diddy’s home to the Playboy Mansion and properties owned by Jack Nicholson and Warren Beatty. However, these rumors were debunked in March 2024 by Reuters, which confirmed that claims of an underground tunnel system at Diddy’s home were false. In a fact-checking report, Reuters clarified that manipulated images were used to spread these baseless theories, and no legitimate evidence has ever supported them.
Additionally, the claim that Jackson’s death investigation has been reopened also lacks merit. No official news outlet has reported any developments regarding a reopening of Jackson’s case, and federal authorities have not linked Diddy to Jackson’s death in any way. The confusion seems to stem from another rumor involving Faheem Muhammad, a former security head for Michael Jackson, who reportedly worked for Diddy at some point. This connection, however, has not led to any new findings or reopened cases.
