Mariah Carey is reported to be spending the holidays without Bryan Tanaka, further fueling rumors that they have called it quits. People reported that Carey will not be taking her backup dancer to Aspen, Colorado, this year. Previously, Tanaka, 40, has accompanied Carey, who shares 12-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with Nick Cannon. There were rumors that the couple might have ended their seven-year relationship when Carey opened her “Merry Christmas One and All! ” tour at the Yaamava Resort & Casino in Highland, Calif., in November, but Tanaka was not in attendance. Tanaka has been on Carey’s tours since 2006, and the Grammy winner and dancer have a long working relationship.

In addition, fans noted the pop icon’s solemn performance during a holiday event. “She looks like she doesn’t want to be there in every clip I’ve seen,” one fan tweeted, while another remarked that Carey “looks depressed” and that “something is going on behind the scenes.” The Singer further fuelled speculation earlier this month when she told People her last year had been difficult. In the interview, Carey did not elaborate on why she had such a difficult year, but she promised to enjoy the holiday season of 2023 “come hell or high water.” Tanaka and Carey were last photographed together in March on the singer’s birthday trip. Despite working together for a decade, the two didn’t marry until 2016, following Carey’s divorce from rich ex-fiancé James Packer.

Mariah Carey Fuels Bryan Tanaka Breakup Rumors With A Solo Vacation To Aspen

Mariah Carey is reportedly enjoying the holidays alone this year, prompting speculation that she and her longtime boyfriend have called it quits. According to a source, Carey, 54, is skipping her customary holiday trip to Aspen, Colorado, this year. Tanaka, 40, has previously attended the holiday retreat with Carey, who shares 12-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with Nick Cannon. During Carey’s “Merry Christmas One and All” tour in November, Tanaka was nowhere to be found at Yaamava’s Resort & Casino in Highland, Calif., prompting rumors that their seven-year romance was over. Tanaka has been a regular on Carey’s tours since 2006, and the Grammy winner & the dancer have a long working connection. Fans also noted that the pop queen appeared melancholy throughout her normally joyous holiday performance.

“Carey looks miserable in every clip I have seen,” one fan said, adding that she seems depressed and that “something is going on behind the scenes.” Carey stoked rumors further when she informed People earlier this month that she had a difficult year. “I’ve been anticipating forward to this Christmas for almost a year.” “Because last year wasn’t the best,” the “Obsessed” vocalist explained. “I’m thankful for them all, but it wasn’t my most fun version of Christmas ever.” Carey did not explain on why her year was so bad, but she did promise to “have fun” during the 2023 Christmas season “come hell or high water.” Tanaka and Carey were last seen together in March on the “Without You” singer’s birthday vacation. Despite working together for a decade, the two didn’t marry until 2016, following Carey’s divorce from rich ex-fiancé James Packer. While Carey ended her relationship with Tanaka in 2017, the duo quickly reconciled.
