The comedian said: During the commercial, we actually presented the Rock Hudson award for the best portrayal of masculinity on television to Will Smith. So please give it up to Will Smith. Will Smith slapped comedian Chris Rock after the latter made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith at the 94th Academy Awards on March 27, 2022. Slapping the comedian was in response to the latter’s joke about her alopecia. Smith apologized later and was even banned from the Oscars for 10 years. Upon hearing Jerrod Carmichael make the comparison between Will Smith and Rock Hudson, fans were furious.
