Dave Grohl ditched his guitar and recently put his BBQ skills to work as he instead fed 450 people in need.

According to recent reports, Dave Grohl arrived at The Hope Mission in Los Angeles on Wednesday at midnight. Moreover, he came along with a large meat smoker and a bunch of overnight gear.
In addition, the 54-year-old singer then cooked for 14 hours straight and used the next 2 hours to let the meat rest.

The Foo Fighters’ frontman whipped ribs, pork butt, and brisket along with cabbage, coleslaw as well as beans.
Furthermore, the news suggests that Grohl is paying for all the expenses. Besides that, he reportedly slept for a couple of hours in the parking lot of the facility while the meat was getting smoked.
Meanwhile, Grohl also talked to the staffers and guests residing at the Hope Mission. Nevertheless, his BBQ feast helped to feed nearly 450 guests and 50 staffers.
Dave Grohl’s bandmate Taylor Hawkins dies at the age of 50
Dave Grohl lost his best friend Taylor Hawkins, the Foo Fighters drummer, in March 2022. Additionally, Hawkins had been the lead drummer of the band since 1997.
Besides that, Grohl, the former drummer for Nirvana, began the Foo Fighters in 1994. It featured Grohl as the lead vocalist and guitarist while Chris Shiftlett took on guitar with Rami Jaffee on keys. Furthermore, the group also included bassist Nate Mendel and guitarist Pat Smear.
Regardless, the legendary rock band released a statement on New Year’s Eve in 2022 to say that they would be ‘a different band’ without Hawkins.

The statement began with, ‘As we say goodbye to the most difficult and tragic year that our band has ever known, we are reminded of how thankful we are for the people that we love and cherish most, and for the loved ones who are no longer with us.’
In addition, it read, ‘For the past 27 years our fans have built a worldwide community, a devoted support system that has helped us all get through the darkest of times together. A place to share our joy and our pain, our hopes and fears, and to join in a chorus of life together through music.’
They added, ‘Without Taylor, we never would have become the band that we were–and without Taylor, we know that we’re going to be a different band going forward.’
