Dave Frishberg was a legendary songwriter who died on Wednesday at the age of 88 years. His wife was nominated by the Grammy Awards, April Magnusson. The musician’s death is confirmed by his wife to the New York Times.
She also confirmed the death of Dave Frishberg on GoFundMe to help him while he was suffering from an illness that is not known by anyone.
On Wednesday, an update was posted on the online fundraiser by Magnusson which says, “We are so grateful for your kindness, support, well-wishing, and encouragement. With your help, Dave was able to get the support and care he needed.”
She added to the statement that we are saddened to report the death passed away today, after battling illness for several years. As a result, we are suspending the campaign, but your thoughts and support are always welcome.
Dave Frishberg was a successful musician Who is famous because of the recognition that he received for his contribution to schoolhouse rock. Schoolhouse Rock is an animated series that contains educational details which were telecasted from 1973 to 2002.
He created multiple songs for the series that also include developing the government-explainer tune “I am just a bill”, says Entertainment Weekly.

He also wrote, “My dear departed past”, and published his first music cover that was, “peel me a grape” in the year 1962. Later in 1966, he released his song “I am hip” and then in an eventual rewrite he has featured a call-out to people before shifting to Los Angeles, in the year 1971. In Los Angeles, he started working on an NBC’s Gene Kelly show, The Funny side.
When the Funny Side ended after releasing nine episodes, Frishberg jumped to a new project that was Schoolhouse Rock, in the year 1975.
