The acronym COCSA stands for “child on child sexual abuse”. Defend Innocence has explained the term saying it means “se*ual activity between children that occurs without consent, without equality (mentally, physically, or in age), or as a result of physical or emotional coercion”.

What to do when a child shares reports about abuse?

As per the studies, about every one-third of child sexual abuse comes from young people or other children. As such when you come across such things from any child then you must know how to react on the same.

If a child reports abuse then listen to them carefully, and ensure them that you’ll handle it seriously. Assure them it wasn’t their fault and that they have done right by telling you.
