Acrobat is motionless after crashing to the stage at Coachella 2023
The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2023 officially kicked off on 14th April. Moreover, Day 2 has become the highlight of the event with the appearance of BLACKPINK, Bad Bunny, and Frank Ocean.
However, the supposed smooth-sailing day came to an end with the occurrence of a terrifying accident involving an acrobat.
According to reports, a female acrobat fell from the stage while twirling on ropes. In addition, pictures and videos of moments before and after the fall are currently taking over social media.
In the videos, we can see the acrobat twisting and turning around a hanging curtain. Additionally, it appears like she lost her grip on the curtain while trying to unfurl the sheet.
Subsequently, the woman fell between two speakers with people rushing toward her to help.
Meanwhile, paramedics arrived at the scene and discovered the woman lying motionless on the ground. Also, she managed to blink her eyes before she was taken to a hospital.
Besides that, reports suggest that the female fell from the stage after nearly five minutes into her performance. As of now, the extent of the injuries the female sustained remains unknown.
Subsequently, some media outlets claimed that a young concertgoer lost consciousness after seeing the accident.
Others reached to the DJ to stop playing the music while paramedics went on to respond to the woman.
Fall incidents at Coachella in the past
A woman named Caroline suffered injuries when a prop from a roof structure fell over and struck her back in 2019 Coachella. Additionally, the victim’s friend, Kristin Messih, shared that they were dancing when the object hit them.
Although the prop hit Messih’s soft part, it ended up leaving Caroline with a skull fracture and brain bleed.
Furthermore, a worker passed away at Coachella after he fell while he was constructing the stage.
In addition, the Indio Police Department revealed that the worker died at the scene due to a traumatic injury.
Coachella organizers Goldenvoice issued a statement at that time following the incident.
They wrote, ‘He was a hard-working and loving person that cared deeply about his team. As our lead rigger, he was responsible for the countless incredible shows that have been put on at the festival. We will miss him dearly.’
