Christopher Kimball is set to launch Milk Street’s new shows under the Roku channel

Christopher Kimball is a famous chef in America, author as well as a television personality. Besides that, he is gearing up to launch two new shows under his Milk Street franchise on The Roku channel.

Who is Christopher Kimball?

Christopher Kimball was born on 5th June 1951, in Westchester County, New York. Later he went on to study at the Phillips Exeter Academy while completing his graduation from Columbia University in 1973. He majored in Primitive Art.

Moreover, Kimball took a job with his brother and worked for a few years at The Center for Direct Marketing. During that time, he enrolled himself in a couple of cooking classes.

In addition, in 1980 he launched his own cooking magazine which reportedly had an investment of nearly $100,000. However, Bonner Group company eventually purchased the company from Kimball.

Regardless, he co-founded America’s Test Kitchen in 1993 and worked as their editor and publisher. America’s Test Kitchen presently is broadcast as a television show.

In 2016, Kimball inaugurated his own company and named it Christopher Kimball’s Milk Street. 

However, he soon got entangled in a lawsuit with his previous organization which claimed that Kimball started this new venture while still being on their payroll. He then sold all his shares in America’s Test Kitchen to settle the case in 2019. 

Furthermore, Kimball’s new business currently has its magazine, radio, and television show where they create food recipes from all over the world.

Christopher Kimball is going to feature alongside James Beard Award winner Cheryl Day for Milk Street’s My Family Recipe. The series will show the duo making forgotten family dishes with the help of modern kitchen appliances.

The show is scheduled to have ten episodes with each episode having a runtime of twenty-four minutes. It will be telecast on Roku TV on 28th October. 

The description of the show goes as, ‘With a combination of historical context and modern culinary know-how, chefs Christopher Kimball and Cheryl Day help home cooks recreate lost or forgotten cherished family recipes.’

Meanwhile, the description of Kimball’s Milk Street’s Cooking School reads, ‘The series covers everything from cooking basics to new techniques and ingredients and also highlights the future of cooking, spotlighting the equipment that is changing the way people cook.’
