Multiple reports indicate that South African actress and model Charlbi Dean passed away in August after contracting a bacterial infection. As Fox News Digital reports, the 32-year-old actress died of bacterial sepsis, which the New York City medical examiner confirmed Wednesday was the cause of her sudden illness. An accident is reportedly ruled to have caused the actress’ death. According to a source at the time, she died on 29th August at a New York City hospital. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Capnocytophaga is a rare bacteria that lives in the mouths of dogs and cats but won’t make them sick.

Because the full autopsy has not been released, it is unclear if contact with a dog or cat caused her infection. It was reported in August by USA Today that Dean’s brother told Rolling Stone that his sister had been in a bad car accident in 2009 and her spleen had to be removed. Dean appeared with Woody Harrelson in “Triangle of Sadness” just before her sudden death. “Black Lightning,” based on DC Comics, aired on CW from 2018 to 2021, and she played a recurring role. “Blood in the Water,” “Don’t Sleep,” “An Interview with God,” “Porthole,” and “Spud” are some of Dean’s other movie credits. In addition to being a model, she has appeared in magazines such as British Vogue, GQ, and Cosmopolitan.

South African Actress And Model Charlbi Dean Cause Of Death Revealed

Four months after her death, Charlbi Dean’s cause of death was determined. As reported by People, the South African actress died from bacterial sepsis, which was brought on by “remote blunt trauma to her torso” due to “a complication from asplenia.” In the report, the coroner stated that Charlbi Dean contracted the infection after being exposed to the bacteria Capnocytophaga. A dog or cat bite, scratch, lick, or other close contacts with an animal usually leads to the transmission of Capnocytophaga to people. A person with autoimmune issues or without a spleen is more likely to contract these infections. A lick or bite from an animal may have caused the Black Lightning star’s death, but her cause of death has not been determined. Medical examiners have not released the full results of her autopsy.

Charlbi Dean was 32 years old when he passed away on 29th August in New York City. She passed away from “an unexpected sudden illness,” according to a rep for the actress at the time. Earlier this year, Dean’s brother Alex Jacobs told Rolling Stone that she was involved in a “very, very bad car accident,” which resulted in the removal of her spleen. The accident also caused his sister to suffer broken ribs and a broken back According to Jacobs, “[the spleen] helps fight off infections, and that might have played a role in the incident.”. As a result of her lack of spleen, perhaps she was unable to fight off the disease. Jacobs also detailed his sister’s last day alive, revealing that Dean began experiencing “minor” symptoms before asking her fiancé, Luke Volker, to take her to the hospital. She died a short time later.
