Who was Calvin Magee?

Calvin Magee was an ex NFL tight end with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

He has worked with Rich Rodriguez in four schools. Initially, he worked as an assistant coach first at West Virginia, then Michigan and Arizona. Later he was hired by Rodriguez again for his new program at New Jacksonville State.

Back in January 2018, Magee worked as an offensive coordinator under the then-UNM head coach Bob Davie.

The Lobo’s offensive line kick-started their fall with impressive skills. They averaged 42.4 points in their first five games. However, by the end of the season, they lost the last seven games. They averaged 15.4 points per game. Furthermore, the quarterback was suffering from injuries which made Magee’s job quite difficult.
