‘BTS: Permission to Dance on Stage – L.A.’ officially dropped on Disney+

BTS much awaited concert film, BTS: Permission to Dance on Stage – L.A. is finally available to stream on Disney+ globally.

BTS: Permission to Dance on Stage – L.A. drops on Disney+

Disney+ globally released BTS’s anticipated concert movie, BTS: Permission to Dance on Stage – L.A. on Thursday at midnight  (Pacific Time).

The streaming giant surprise release is a gift to viewers and fans in the wake of Disney+ Day celebrations.

The movie displays the seven members of the septet namely, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, taking the stage of SoFi Stadium.

The Korean boy band had previously performed four sold-out shows last November and December in Los Angeles. This marked the group’s first in-person concert in two years specifically since the end of 2019.

According to Disney+, the film is ‘stage-focused’ and will showcase behind-the-scenes footage from the concert.

The movie further includes the band performing their number one all-English hit tracks such as Dynamite, Butter, and Permission to Dance.

Moreover, the film was first announced last month. They further declared that an upcoming docuseries titled BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star is most likely to debut on Disney+ next year.

HYBE, a Den of Thieves production along with Borderless Films served as producers for ‘BTS: Permission to Dance on Stage – L.A.’.

Meanwhile, Sam Wrench and Junsoo Park directed the 130-minute concert film.

Los Angeles was one of the few cities where BTS stopped for their ‘Permission to Dance on Stage’ tour last year.

Nevertheless, the band announced that they are taking a hiatus to focus on individual projects earlier this year during their anniversary celebrations.

J-Hope said in a statement while announcing their hiatus in June, ‘I think we should spend some time apart to learn how to be one again.’

Furthermore, he added, ‘I hope you don’t see this as a negative thing and see it as a healthy plan. I think BTS will become stronger that way.’

Meanwhile, BTS’s recent concert film joins an increasing library of music content on Disney. They had previously released an Emmy-winning documentary, The Beatles: Get Back. It displays the recording sessions for the Let It Be album. 

Moreover, the streamer also offers documentaries about musicians such as Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, and Olivia Rodrigo.
