Brian Laundrie confessed to killing his fiance Gabby Petito
Brian Laundrie’s notebook, which was first obtained by Fox News, gives insight into the tragic deaths of Brian Laundrie and Gabby Petito.
Laundrie confessed, ‘I ended her life.’
He continued, ‘I thought it was merciful, that it is what she wanted, but I see now all the mistakes that I made. I panicked. I was in shock. But from the moment I decided, I took away her pain.’
Laundrie’s notebook mentions that he decided to end Petito’s life after she allegedly sustained an injury while they were hiking at the national park.
The young couple cataloged their road trip around the west on social media platforms where they previously visited Utah in Gabby’s 2012 white Ford Transit.
He further talked about how he tried to keep her warm while his 22-year-old fiance was in ‘extreme’ pain.
After her death, it seemed like Laundrie was set to end his life as well. He said, ‘From the moment I decided, took away her pain, I knew I couldn’t go on without her.’
Last year in September, the lifeless body of Petito was found in Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. According to medical reports, it was determined that she died because of homicidal strangulation.
Laundrie also disappeared around the same time while people from all over the country were making calls for his arrest. Regardless, his body was located last year in October in the wilderness of Florida. The cause of his death was reported to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
