Bill Cosby Is Being Sued For Allegedly Drugging And Raping Donna Motsinger
Donna Motsinger, one of Bill Cosby’s victims, has filed a new lawsuit against him, alleging a sexual assault which happened more than 50 years ago. Motsinger alleges that Cosby took advantage of her in 1972 while she was working as a waitress at the prestigious Trident restaurant in Sausalito, CA. Motsinger saw Cosby at the Bayside restaurant, which was a renowned hangout for celebrities at the time, according to the lawsuit. She states that Cosby went to the restaurant especially to see her & ultimately invited her to join him in his play at San Carlos’ Circle Star Theatre. Motsinger claims that Cosby offered her a glass of wine on the way to the theatre. When she arrived at the dressing room, she started to feel ill, and Cosby provided her with what she thought was an aspirin. Motsinger claimed to have experienced moments of consciousness and oblivion after taking the tablet. She recalls being escorted back into the limo by Cosby’s managers, and the last bit she recalls are flashes of light. When Motsinger awoke in her own house, she was wearing only her pants and was convinced that Bill Cosby had drugged and raped her.
She has suffered substantial mental, bodily, and emotional distress as a result of the alleged occurrence. This is not the very first time Motsinger has made allegations against Cosby. She made similar allegations in 2014, and she has now filed a lawsuit demanding compensation for the harm she has endured. Cosby’s representative has yet to comment on the situation. Motsinger, on the other hand, is adamant about taking legal action in order to hold Cosby accountable for his claimed acts. Cosby is also being sued by singer Morganne Picard, who claims he drugged and assaulted her. Picard argues in her lawsuit that Cosby exploited his “power, fame, and prestige” to sexually abuse her. Kaufman Astoria Studios, the Carsey-Werner Company, & NBC Universal Media were all named in the complaint. Picard claims she met Cosby in 1987 when he joined her at a taping of ‘The Cosby Show.’ Picard believes that after getting to know him, she became close to him and his wife and that she saw Cosby as a “father figure.” However, later in the lawsuit, the singer claims that Cosby would frequently offer her booze, saying that the beverages caused her to black out on “multiple occasions.”
