Kanye West’s ex-girlfriend Julia Fox and artist Azealia Banks have been trading blows on social media as their rivalry has gone global.
How did the feud start?
The feud is said to have started after Azealia Banks referred to Julia Fox as a “low rate escort” and referred to her kid as a “crack baby,” causing the ‘Uncut Gems’ singer to allege that the ‘Count Contessa’ hitmaker had requested her for the phone number of a drug dealer and publish screengrabs from the text exchange.
Julia Fox, who has a son named Valentino with ex Peter Artemiev, denied her crying rumors when she and West split up, while Azealia Banks shared Julia Fox’s Instagram comment and claimed the latter was a sex worker.
“Foolia, we already know the tea! [You] arrived at Miami searching for sex job, [the] same lawyer had a contract with Ye, and it was a bad PR move from the start ” Azealia Banks wrote. “What were you hustling him for?” Banks inquired of Fox.
“What about a bag and some Lucien’s? You did not show up because if this is how ladies who ‘always date millionaires’ act when things go bad, threatening tell-all books… You can say goodbye to your days as a low-paying escort, sis.”
“The things you have made public about your drug misuse (something he probably had no idea about in the beginning) are not what he needs to be linked with him in any custody struggle that may occur in court during divorce procedures,” she added to her statement.
Azealia Banks called Julia Fox a “liability”
In another outburst, Banks called Fox a “liability,” stating that “the fact [she] felt [Kanye] would choose [her] above his children simply stinks of entitlement, a lack of any true motherly instinct, and indicates that [she is] in reality, a woman child.”
She said, “We will not be purchasing your book, and if I were you, I would not write it. It will make [you] appear prejudiced and resentful. You are not on the same level as Karrine Steffans. You’ve already spilled your beans, sis. It’s all over.”
After that, the artist addressed reports that she had a crush on West. “Babes, Kanye has attempted four times to sign me. “I’ve refused him several times,” she wrote to Fox. “Kanye has a thing on me, but I prefer his white pals honestly,” she says, adding that the father of four owes her “A LOT of money.”
In the texts, Azealia Banks said that Fox had cautioned her not to “say sh*t” about her son. Nonetheless, she wrote beneath the message, “Okay your son is a crack baby….what next?” and subsequently posted a photo of Fox sitting on the floor in lingerie, seeming to inject herself in the arm with a syringe.
Julia Fox reply to Azealia Banks’s Criticisms
Fox retaliated to Banks’ criticisms by publishing a snapshot of communications they exchanged. Azealia Banks allegedly asks her in one of the texts, “Who sells molly and Percocet in NYC?” asks Julia, to which Fox answers, “Hi love sry. I was fast asleep!!! Let me inquire around since after my sister OD’d, I removed all the dealers from my phone.” The actress said she was obliged to reveal the interaction after being branded an addict online in response to Banks’ “crackbaby” insult.
“It has come to my notice that this troll constantly calling me an addict hmmm sis do you recollect @azealiabanks?” Fox said besides the screenshot. She discussed her drug concerns in a subsequent piece. “I’m upfront about my addiction struggles because I want to de-stigmatize it! Not all addicts are referred to as “junkies.”
“She penned something. “That is a terrible thing to say. It is a true f*cking sickness. And I’ve also been candid about my rehabilitation process!!! But no one wants to bring it up, do they? If this idiot ever says anything more about my parenting or my son…”
She said, “I was overly friendly to her because I felt sorry for her, but now I see why she spends all of her vacations alone. Nobody wants that kind of energy, sis!!!”
