Sigmund Vestrheim, the drummer of Aurora is getting replaced while the whole Nazi controversy revolving around the former grabs attention. Sigmund has been facing backlash on the internet after getting accused of being a Nazi. As of now, he is also not to accompany Aurora on her upcoming tour.

Drummer Sigmund Vestrheim accused of being a Nazi
It was only after the concert of Aurora in Lollapalooza in Brazil on 26th March that the whole accusation on drummer Sigmund Vestrheim began. They accused him of being a Nazi for one of his hand gestures. During the show, the drummer appeared to make a hand gesture which made many believe he was a Nazi.

While one of the drawing of Sigmund came under the radar too where the number 777 and a swastika symbol was spotted in his drawing. Not to miss, the number is taken as a three-bladed swastika symbolic of white supremacist groups.
Sigmund Vestrheim addresses the accusations of being a Nazi
Although a few times netizens felt that Sigmund Vestrheim is a Nazi. Both Aurora and Sigmund have denied the accusations against him. Sigmund on his Instagram came to address the accusations of him being a Nazi.

He said “First of all: OF COURSE I’m not a Nazi! My values are love and understanding, and i play music in order to spread these values. My priorities are and will always be to meet and treat the people around me with respect and happiness…..The whole idea of Aurora having a right-wing person in her band is absurd. I hope everyone can believe me when i say this”.
Sigmund Vestrheim won’t accompany Aurora on her upcoming tour
Aurora too shared on social media saying “I would never support my drummer if these allegations were true…. but still mistakes should be apologized for. And lack of knowledge, and should be apologized for as well. And I do on behalf of everyone in my band apologise for this”.
Also, as Aurora and her band are returning with her South American tour, drummer Sigmund Vestrheim won’t be accompanying her this time. While it is also uncertain if he will ever return to be with Aurora and the band in the future or not.
