Andrew Schulz Support West Elm Caleb After The Furniture Designer Went Viral On Tiktok
3 min readAndrew Schulz hosts “Flagrant 2,” a podcast where he defends a West Elm Caleb furniture designer accused of ghosting several women on Tik Tok.
Several women on TikTok began sharing their stories of being matched with West Elm artist Caleb Hunter on the dating app ‘Hinge’ in mid-January. Hunter went viral on several social media platforms after being matched with him.
Apparently, 25-year-old Caleb allegedly “love bombed” several women before ghosting them. After dating them a few times, or simply exchanging texts with them.
So on tiktok there are dozens of NY women telling stories about a man named Caleb from West Elm who is a furniture designer that gaslights and ghosts them. It’s like if John Tucker Must Die or The Other Woman happened in real life in real time on tiktok. pic.twitter.com/BMCv39iu79

Apparently, Caleb copied and pasted text messages and sent them Spotify playlists that he had made “just for them”.
In response to the sheer number of women allegedly ghosted by Caleb, the furniture designer has faced a backlash across social media, even resulting in allegations of abuse.
During an episode of his Flagrant 2 podcast on January 24, Andrew Schultz discussed the matter, arguing that Caleb doesn’t deserve the accusations despite being a “f**kboy.”
He’s Doing ‘love Bombing’
He wasn’t too bad for meeting these girls, said Schulz. In other words, he was doing exactly the opposite of what pick-up artists told them to do said, Schulz. He’s doing ‘love bombing’.
Also, Schulz says that he finds it hilarious that if he were one of these millionaires, it wouldn’t bother him that these girls were ghosts. His ego could have handled it.

He continued by saying what’s strange about that is they don’t seem to care that they’ve been ghosted. He said that they were upset that a boy who they thought was better than them ghosted them.
Andrew Schulz Responds To Allegations Of Abuse Against West Elm Caleb
Caleb’s abuse claims were countered by Schulz, who compared the act of ‘love-bombing’ to “looking completely different for Instagram pictures.
“It’s very hard for people to just go, I guess he didn’t like me,” he argued.
Schulz understands the dating strategy of West Elm Caleb and doesn’t think the accusations of pre-abuse tactics are warranted.
In response to the backlash against Caleb, Schulz’s sentiment was echoed across Twitter when the outrage was at its peak. Even TV host Trevor Noah expressed concerns about the public’s attitude toward the designer.
It was clear Caleb was blindsided by the sudden attention from his romantic escapades and unaware it would become a viral debate when he responded in texts to one of the women he was involved with. Saying that he is well shocked and pretty traumatized by it all.
