Amber Heard is returning in her role as Mera in Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom proving all her replacement rumors wrong. Ever since the infamous defamation trial of Amber Heard and Johnny Depp. There have been rumors saying Amber Heard won’t be cast in the upcoming Aquaman movie. However, reality seems to be different than the rumors.

However, recently the trailer of Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom was played at the CinemaCon. There Amber Heard was seen back in her role as Mera in the movie. Though she wasn’t heard with any dialogue in the trailer. Yet, one can be sure to see her in the movie putting the rumours of her replacement finally to rest.

Why was Amber Heard believed to be not a part of Aquaman 2?

Ever since the infamous defamation trial of Amber Heard and Johnny Depp. It was rumoured that Amber Heard won’t be back playing the role of Mera. Moreover, not just insiders and sources claimed so but Heard too hinted at the same.

Even during the trial Amber in her role said “I fought really hard to stay in the movie. They didn’t want to include me in the film”. Not to miss, Johnny Depp won the defamation trial against Amber Heard. It was believed by many that she won’t be back as Mera. However, finally, the trailer shows Heard back in her role. Though it isn’t known as how long her role has been in the movie.

Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom is arriving on the big screen on 20th December 2023. The trailer of the movie at the CinemaCon shows Jason Momoa returning as Aquaman. While Amber Heard is coming back in the movie as Mera. Orm on the other hand is coming as Patrick Wilson returns.
