Prison believes Alex Murdaugh is a target for inmates

Recently news reported that Alex Murdaugh is being held in the most secure area of a prison located in South Carolina.

Moreover, the officials at the prison think that other inmates might want to attack Murdaugh for his notoriety.

If you didn’t know, Murdaugh is currently serving two life sentences without the possibility of parole for killing his wife and 22-year-old son. In addition, he is being held at the Kirkland Correctional Institution in Columbia.

An official at the establishment revealed to a publication on Friday, ‘Mr. Murdaugh will be placed in a single cell at Kirkland after he arrives today.’

Meanwhile, Murdaugh’s single concrete cell only includes a steel bed, toilet along with sink. His current residence is the stark opposite of what the disgraced powerhouse attorney lifestyle once led.

Alex Murdaugh’s remaining child breaks down following his father’s guilty verdict

Alex Murdaugh’s remaining child, Buster, seemingly broke down outside of court after his father handed down the verdict for being guilty.

The 26-year-old has continued to remain stone-faced during the six-week trial. However, he ‘collapsed’ following his father’s conviction.

A source revealed to Page Six, ‘He was crying uncontrollably. The uncles [Alex’s brothers, John Marvin Murdaugh and Randy Murdaugh] finally got him into a car.’

Meanwhile, South Carolina Circuit Court Judge Clifton Newman excoriated the 54-year-old defendant during the proceedings.

He said, ‘You’ve engaged in such duplicitous conduct here in the courtroom, here on the witness stand, and as established by the testimony.’

Subsequently, he added, ‘This has been, perhaps, one of the most troubling cases, not just for me as a judge, for the state, for the defense team but for all of the citizens in this community.’

Newman then went on to detail how he once had a notable status as a ‘lawyer. A person from a respected family who has controlled justice in this community for over a century.’

Murdaugh on the other hand remained adamant that he did not murder his wife and son.

He claimed, ‘I respect this court, but I’m innocent. I would never under any circumstances hurt my wife Maggie. I would never under any circumstances hurt my son “Paw Paw.”‘
