Damar Hamlin’s Super Bowl wardrobe, according to Adrian Peterson, was blasphemous. In Super Bowl 2023, Hamlin sat next to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and wore a Takashi Murakami “Travis Jesus” jacket that said, There is no day without the end or night without the beginning. There was also a graphic image of a crucifix on the back of the jacket. According to Peterson, Hamlin, who survived a cardiac arrest on the field in Week 17 when the Bills played the Bengals, was disrespecting God by wearing the jacket. I think you should thank God for this, son! On Instagram, Peterson wrote a caption. It’s blasphemy! Everyone falls short, but come on! This is disrespectful! Peterson was a running back in the NFL from 2007-21 and ranks fifth all-time in rushing yards.

Former Pro Bowl running back Fred Taylor felt Peterson should have handled the situation privately. Taylor wrote in the comments that you should DM him. I’m sure he would listen to your opinion. It doesn’t help anyone to post it. It’s not uncommon for young people to wear things without thinking about them first, just as people wear skulls and other things that don’t align with Christian beliefs. Please try to reach him. It has been about six weeks since Damar Hamlin’s cardiac arrest incident, but he still hopes to play football again.

Adrian Peterson Criticizes Damar Hamlin’s ‘Disrespectful’ Super Bowl Outfit

Adrian Peterson criticized Bills safety Damar Hamlin on Monday for wearing a controversial jacket during Super Bowl LVII. In celebration of Hamlin’s inspiring recovery from cardiac arrest against the Bengals on Jan. 2, the NFL and the rest of the sports world honoured him on Sunday. On the front of the jacket, Hamlin had an altered face of Jesus with the word “Eternal” emblazoned across it, while the back had a similarly designed crucifix. Devout Christian Peterson took issue with Hamlin’s jacket, and he posted an Instagram attack on the 24-year-old. It’s God you should be thanking son! Peterson wrote in a caption that has since been altered. I call this blasphemy! Everybody falls short, but man, come on! It seems disrespectful to me. #grateful #goddid. In a picture with LeBron James, Hamlin was wearing the jacket, made by artist Takashi Murakami for a reported $3,150. Others generated discourse on social media. Throughout his recovery, Hamlin has expressed his faith on a variety of occasions, including during an emotional speech at the NFL honours on Feb. 9.

As a follow-up to his original Instagram post, Adrian Peterson returned to the social media platform and edited the caption to include a message regarding a conversation he had with Damar Hamlin. Adrian Peterson explained he only intended to share his opinion and not judge Hamlin after noting that the two had discussed our thoughts as men. Damar Hamlin, I love and respect you and wish you nothing but the best, but I just can’t rock that jacket, Adrian Peterson wrote. With power and influence comes great responsibility, both for young and old. I feel like there are a lot of people looking up to you, both young and old. My apologies for offending you; as a man who believes in and respects our Lord and Savior, Yeshua, I just felt offended at that moment. I understand Damar Hamlin’s intentions weren’t ill-intentioned after speaking with him!
