Janelle James’ fans are cringing following a video of her telling a joke regarding her son’s genitals surfaced on the social networking platform X. The joke was made by the comedienne in season three of the Netflix comedy special “The Standups,” which will premiere on the platform on December 29, 2021. The performance clip of the “Abbott Elementary” star was tweeted on December 12 by the account @jadedspicee with the remark, “I’ve never been so awkward watching standup before like she’s a weirdo.” In the joke, James alluded to her son’s penis and joked about being surprised to see him naked after he came out of the shower. “My youngest son has a d—k.” “I had no idea,” she confessed. “I had no idea. I had no idea he had a d—k. They believe if you blink, you will miss it. That is correct. I had no idea he had a d—k.” She went on to add that she saw her kid sprint by her bedroom following getting out of the shower & forgetting his towel. “He came rushing out of the bathroom as I sat on the edge of my bed.” “I guess he forgot a towel,” she added. “And I thought, ‘Wtf is that?'” It completely blew my head. ‘What a d—k. What? What?’ That’s a d—k in need of work. Okay? You can’t go about with all that d—k and no revenue. That is impolite.”

James subsequently recalled changing her baby son’s diapers and strumming rhythm guitar on his “pee-pee.” “He used to have a pee-pee,” she went on to say. I saw it last time as a pee-pee; you changed the diaper and played the pee-pee rhythm guitar. Ding-ding-a-ding-ding-a-ding-ding-a-ding. Are there no other parents in this room? That is the most wonderful aspect of having a newborn boy.” Many fans were outraged by the joke after the clip was shared on X. One follower responded, “woke up to Janelle James cracking jokes regarding her son’s genitals.” “It’s terrible,” another said. I couldn’t even get through the entire clip because it was so terrible.” A member of the audience responded, “Now if a man had sat up and spoken regarding his daughter’s private area like that, other individuals would understand!!!” “She keeps going to like 1.” Why are you addressing a youngster in this manner? not to mention your child 2. Why are you bringing it up in front of so many people? so repulsive” said the account that shared the video. James is an actor, writer, and comedian most famous for her appearance on ABC’s Abbott Elementary as Ava Coleman. Her participation in the critically acclaimed series garnered her a Screen Actors Guild Award and an NAACP Image Award. ” The Standups” is available on Netflix now.
