A$AP Rocky charged with two assault counts
A$AP Rocky was booked under assault and weapons charges on Monday.
The news was confirmed by Attorney George Gascón of the Los Angeles County District.
He announced, ‘Discharging a gun in a public place is a serious offense that could have ended with tragic consequences not only for the person targeted but also for innocent bystanders visiting Hollywood.’
Gascón continued by claiming, ‘My office conducted a thorough review of the evidence in this case and determined that the addition of a special firearm allegation was warranted.’
If you didn’t know, A$AP Rocky is accused of pointing a semiautomatic firearm at a former friend last year in November in Hollywood.
Rocky, born Rakim Mayers allegedly fired multiple shots from the gun during an altercation between the two.
According to law officials, the one-time friend was left with ‘a minor injury’ following the confrontation.
The name of the onetime member of A$AP Mob is reported to be A$AP Relli, real name Terell Ephron.
Ephron has previously stated that he would sue Rocky for causing, ‘irreparable harm to his career in the entertainment industry.’
A$AP Rocky was arrested while he was with Rihanna
A$AP Rocky was taken into custody by cops at Los Angeles International Airport in April. The New York-born Mayers arrived with his girlfriend and singer Rihanna on a private plane.
According to several media outlets, the couple was returning from their holiday in Barbados.
The Diamonds and Umbrella hitmaker reportedly gave birth to a baby boy on the 13th of May in Los Angeles. She shares her first child with the 33-year-old rapper.
