Release date of Darktide

Darktide was supposed to be released in 2020. However, it was postponed due to the difficulty of development during the coronavirus epidemic. The September date is a few months later than the “spring 2022” date we were promised back in April. The PC version will be available on Steam, while Xbox users can expect it to be included in Game Pass.

Darktide pits four-player teams against hordes of zombie-like creatures in a battle between the Imperial and Chaos factions in Tertium’s hive city. It should be a horribly good time if it lives up to the quality of Warhammer: Vermintide 2.

What is Warhammer 40K all about?

Darktide appears to be a natural follow-up to Vermintide, bringing the intense co-op action of earlier games to the futuristic setting of 40K. With a mix of melee and ranged combat against the grisly hordes of the 40K universe through a variety of dirty, industrial locales. Players begin as a prisoner who is eventually recruited by the Inquisition. It must complete missions in order to earn its trust.
