Fortnite is all set to return with its yearly Halloween extravaganza Fortnitemares. It is most likely to include new skins and challenges.
The popular battle royale game is known for holding seasonal events such as Winterfest, Summer Splash and the fan favorite Fortnitemares also referred to as the October pumpkin event.
Here is everything you need to know.
When and what time will Fortnitemares 2022 start?
Epic Games recently announced that Fortnitemares 2022 is all set to begin on October 18th. But we are uncertain about how long the event will last.
Nevertheless, we are suspecting it should go through October as well as enter early November. Additionally, the previous Fortnitemares events also lasted until November.
Moreover, the exact start time of Fortnitemares 2022 is still under wraps. However, typically the spooky season event begins at:
- Pacific Daylight Time: 6 AM PDT
- Eastern Daylight Time: 9 AM ET
- British Summer Time: 2 PM BST
The gaming company further teased the fans in a Twitter message as they stating, ‘This is the season of screams, bad dreams, and all monstrous things.’
What are the new changes in the map, items, and challenges?
Although Epic Games has not officially confirmed it yet, it is believed that Fortnitemares 2022 will include certain changes to the map. Furthermore, event-specific items are most likely to be introduced in the extravaganza.
Subsequently, in September Fortnite leaker @HYPEX claimed that the company is developing a new Halloween boss enemy which is internally being called ‘Freaky.’
Reportedly when Freaky will be taken down he will drop:
A new mythical weapon that’s also using the same ‘Freaky’ codename
- Pumpkin Launcher
- Ammo Stacks x2
- Consumable Stacks x2
- Fireflies x6
- It also can summon creatures.
The leaker further wrote that a new Mech or new system for a vehicle currently under work and called them’ Phantom Ammo’ and ‘Self Destruct.’
What are the new skins in Fortnitemares 2022?
Fortnitemares 2022 will be filled with Halloween-themed skins. Hence, we will possibly see a couple of skins from the previous year as well as a certain selection of brand-new skins.
While Epic hasn’t announced the full slate of new skins coming this year, we got an early look at at least two of them (seen below) late last month.
Meanwhile, according to Twitter account @ShiinaBR, the original skins will consist of:
- Three Agency Renegade skins
- An Eastern Asian-themed Moon Goddess skin
- Two horror-themed skins: Sinister Glare Eyes and Undying Sorrow
The Sideways will most likely come back soon. Epic Games has added a blue version of the Cube Monsters to the game files. pic.twitter.com/6JvieOOPmG— TroyDaGamer – Fortnite Leaks (@Troy_FN_News) October 4, 2022
