Netflix recently revealed the cast for the making of LIVE-ACTION: ONE PIECE Series.

The five cast members revealed on Tuesday is Inaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jocab Romero Gibson as Usopp, Taz Skylar as Sanji will play characters in the Straw Hats Crew.

One Piece is a popular anime based on the manga with the same name, has been running for 20 seasons now, and to date, 14 animated movies are also made. The anime focuses on Luffy and the Straw Hat pirates group which sets off to find treasure known as ‘One Piece’ so he could become the king of the pirates. Till now One Piece is the most popular and longest manga series known currently in existence. The series also top regularly in best selling list.

Netflix’s Live-Action Development

The creator of One Piece ‘Eiichiro Oda’ shared a note about the development of the series through Netflix which is expected to have 10 episodes, he didn’t speak about the expected day of its release but he definitely state ‘it will take a bit more time to complete the show’. The author is working with Netflix and Tomorrows Studios on this massive Hollywood live-action show which is adapted from one of the most popular Japanese manga titles ‘One Piece’.

It has been definitely a long time since the project was announced but I will assure you that we have been working on it! he also added it’s not an easy job working with different cultures around the world but the process will definitely yield something more than special! for now, we just announced the main cast, or else it would have been leaked by some other source that’s why we hurried the process isn’t this hilarious, lol. We decided on the main cast after several discussions involving people around the globe, their aura, their voice, their height, their facial structures, their acting skills, the way they carry themselves, and especially the balance among Straw Hat Crew Pirates. More Details About Live-Action One Piece

The Executive Producer Steven Maden and Matt Owens stated that the entire team is quite excited to work with such talented casts. Finding the right people for the cast was a challenging process, who could pull the show with the right emotions, looks, and action for iconic Straw Hats. But we manage to find them finally. They have been working quite hard to bring every character to life to their fullest, they also said we will love them as the characters as we equally love them in the manga. All of us are definitely waiting to show what we have been working on.

Netflix has been seen taking interest in live-action recently and has been investing in them, it also announced about the upcoming Yu Yu Hakusho series which will likely be released by 2023 and is working on it currently, also in august it revealed the cast for the upcoming show Forthcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender whose cast also includes Daniel Dae Kim and is ready to premiere the live-action Cowboy-Bebop this 19th of November.
