is Jason Momoa Replace Dwayne Johnson as He Rejects To Work With Vin Diesel In Fast & Furious 10?

Fast & Furious 10 star Jason Momoa is on the verge of letting loose his flaxen locks to gain fame as he’s close to joining the film.

Aquaman is reportedly close to signing a deal with the franchise. As speculation swirls around the possibility of him playing a villainous role. Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, and Charlize Theron will all appear alongside Jason Momoa. On May 19, 2023, the film is scheduled for release.

Just two weeks after announcing his separation from Lisa Bonet, Jason Momoa wrapped up Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.  

A completed signing and delivery of the deal would be a huge deal for the F&F series, given that Diesel. Despite pleading publicly, was unable to entice Dwayne Johnson back to the box office leader.

The sequel to the franchise’s reboot of 2021, F9: The Fast Saga, has Justin Lin back behind the camera. Also returning for the 10th installment will be Sung Kang and Michelle Rodriguez along with Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Tyrese Gibson, and Jimmy Webb. Charlize Theron, who starred in F8 and F9, is also expected to return to the franchise.

Diesel And Lin Are Producing

Diesel wanted Dwayne Johnson — who appeared in the fifth through eighth films, as well as spinoff Hobbs & Shaw — to return to the franchise after skipping F9 and courted him both privately and publicly.

After a November Instagram post where Diesel pleaded for the former WWE star to come back. Johnson said in a December interview that there was “no chance” of that, calling Diesel manipulative.

The search was then on to find someone who could fill the needed quotient of star and muscle power. However, because the script is still a work in progress. It is unclear whether Momoa’s part is protagonistic or antagonistic in nature, or perhaps even both.

In recent years, the Fast movies have stayed pumped and relevant not only by amping up the scale of the stunts but by beefing up the call sheet with turns by Theron, Johnson, Jason Statham, and John Cena, even throwing Helen Mirren into the mix.
