After James Gunn took over DC Extended Universe’s future, he has made some harsh calls that have upset quite a few DC fans across the globe over the past few weeks. Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot have both been removed from their roles as Superman as part of the recent changes. This led to mass unrest among long-term fans of Zack Snyder’s franchise. In these days of rapid entertainment, forgiveness and forgetting are quite easy.

DC fans finally have something to rejoice about following so many debilitating pieces of news. James Gunn recently wrote on his Twitter handle: My day: wrote 1/3 of an unannounced DC TV show; ok’d 100 VFX shots, did reference acting for Rocket, & gave editing notes for Vol 3; & met with two big DC Studios executives. A lot of DC fans speculated that this was the untitled Amanda Weller series, which prompted them to jump to conclusions about what it might be.

James Gunn “Unannounced” TV show Generates Speculation Among DC Fans
James Gunn is a very busy man. As co-CEO of DC Studios, he’s leading the charge for a new era, but he’s also working on an “unannounced” series that has fans speculating. A number of great TV shows have been produced by DC over the years. Marvel almost always trailed it in this regard. Following the announcement of the CW channel’s ownership change, many great DC shows were cancelled. The DC fan community has long endured some disappointing days in this regard. Gunn’s announcement of this upcoming DC project got fans very excited. Due to this, fans jumped to conclusions about which unnamed TV show this was. There was speculation that it might be the untitled Amanda Weller series. According to one user, I can’t wait any longer. That’s funny. It’s probably the Amanda Waller trial that was set up in Peacemaker.

A user added that the HBO Max series Amanda Waller must be the result of Adebayo exposing The Suicide Squad to the world in the Peacemaker season finale. Amanda Waller is going to get payback and revenge by forming a new team! Gunn’s plans will most likely see the light of day very soon, even if we don’t yet know what the project is. The Guardians of the Galaxy director recently revealed he and producer Peter Safran will unveil their slate for the next 8-10 years. We will have to wait quite sometime before James Gunn or the network confirm that his latest tweet refers to the Amanda Waller series. Whatever the case may be, the series is expected to arrive at some point, as multiple sources confirm it is part of DC’s future plans.
