The blade is an American horror movie. It is based on Marvel comic books. It is the first installment of the Blade franchise. In this series, the movie is about a human with various strengths of vampires. But he doesn’t owe their weaknesses. He along with his mentor Abraham Whistler fights against vampires. It got released on August 21, 1988. It is a huge success grossing $70 million at the U.S. box office. The film received a positive response from audiences.
The blade is a dark superhero in the movie. His success made movie’s successful. It has come in two sequences. One is Blade 2 and another one is Trinity. In all the series, he got a lot of appraisals. With time, his appraisal growth made him and his movie successful. The series went to a big screen. He also became a superhero through this. Bypassing time, Marvel found the potential to gain profits by bringing the character to screens. It’s all because of Blade. He made Marvel a grand success. One couldn’t imagine Marvel without it.
The blade has become an inspiration for screen superheroes. It became a defining moment in the nineties cinema. Marvel was in serious trouble in the mid-nineties. The company even faced bankruptcy in 1996. The situation becomes so worse. Their sales drop up to 70%. They were facing failure back to back. But then came Blade. Which helped them both financially and emotionally. The movie raised their lost reputation in the market. It earned a worldwide gross of $131,183,530. It was produced on budget of $45 million. Audiences got interested in seeing superheroes on screen rather than in books just like Batman. It then made a place in the hearts of everyone. He proved that one doesn’t always need a superhero like Batman or Spiderman.
The blade was an obscure character. Marvel became the biggest blockbusters of that time and converted into box office gold. After the movie, they gain confidence in minor characters. One could see the success of Marvel Studios back then due to it. Marvel Studio reached great heights and achieve many milestones through Blade. Batman has a different position in the hearts of audiences. But the movie created the image for cartoonish characters. After Marvel, the Avengers series Marvel also became a huge success. It became the second-highest-grossing movie. It set a benchmark for other series. Surely fans would never forget the movie. Marvel’s history creator is also Blade. Blade not only saved Marvel but also helped it to regain its name.
