Who are Eternals?
The Eternals, as the name suggests, are supreme and powerful creatures. They are not less than any god in comparison to powers. Another thing that makes them named Eternals is that they are immortal. They came into existence ages ago (near the time of the Stone Age). And the gods that created Eternals were the cosmic gods are Celestials. Celestials were the ones who created two divisions. One is the Eternals, and the other one is the Deviants. Like, other Marvel superheroes, Eternals are also the ones who fight immortal enemies to let humans live in peace.
Are Eternals and Thanos Linked?
As The Eternals by Marvel came into existence, many rumors were in the news about the movie. One of them is that the Eternals and the supervillain Thanos have any link? The director – Chloé Zhao confirmed, in an interview that Thanos’s brother was an Eternal. As a result, people wonder that Thanos was also an Eternal.
The rumor is that Thanos’s planet Titan which was destroyed by over-population was not exactly true. As we saw in the Eternals, overpopulation leads to the emergence of celestials that in turn destroy all the species of the planet. The same might have happened on the Titan. Which directly resulted in the death of the brother of Thanos (introduced in this movie).
So, to take revenge on the Celestials, Thanos as we know used to go to different planets and destroy half of the population of the same. And he used to do this because if a planet will not face over-population, the emergence will get delayed. And this will result in the delay of Celestials coming into existence.
Just then, Thanos gets to know about infinity stones. With the help of which, with only one snap, he can make the delay possible that too; in the whole universe. So, he collects the infinity stones and faces Avengers. So, is Thanos doing right? He was saving some part of species rather than what Celestials do? Or is he taking revenge from Celestial because they might have done this only with his planet?
Why do Thanos appears different from other Eternals?
