Cobra Kai Season 4: It’s an excellent job. Season four has received positive feedback, which comes as no surprise given the show’s enormous popularity.
According to the streaming giant, the most recent batch of episodes achieved No. 1 in 28 countries and reached the top ten in 85 nations, with a total of 73 million homes watching it in some capacity.
“All I can say is that it was incredibly crucial for us to close season three the way we did with a type of like yes!. As a feeling as opposed to aww, where season two went. Cobra Kai boss Josh Heald said on the Paley Front Row panel (via Collider).
When can we expect episodes of Cobra Kai season 4?
Cobra Kai season 4, with all-new episodes, will stream on Netflix on December 31, 2021.
Season 5 has been confirmed, and production is allegedly already beginning, which is even better news.
“We’ve always had a clear end goal in terms of where the storey is going,” said co-creator Jon Hurwitz. But we haven’t mentioned how many seasons it’ll take to get there” (via Comic Book). Even in season one, we found in the writers’ room that we had so many ideas that we couldn’t fit into the five hours in the first season. So we pushed them to the next season.”
“There are things we talked about at the start of the show that showed up in season three. Or will show up in season four… we believe there’s still a lot more storey to tell.”
What will happen in the next season?
It was difficult to believe the Cobra Kai team would be able to top the school brawl at the end of season two, but they did it by the end of season three.
Season three also demonstrated that not everything in Cobra Kai is as it appears, with numerous red herrings thrown in, such as rumours that Daniel’s journey to Japan will reveal some horrifying facts about Mr Miyagi.
It just proved that he was the nice old man from the movies who could kick your arse and fix your plumbing. It also put to rest rumours that Tory was Ali’s mother. Apart from making Sam’s life a living nightmare, Tory’s place in the Karate Kid universe remains a big question mark.
Now that we know she’s on dialysis, will we learn more about her mother’s past? It looks to be more than plausible, given that past seasons have disclosed backstories for all of the main characters, most recently Kreese, who we learn was a victim of bullying himself and whose mother committed suicide while he was still in high school before travelling to Vietnam.
Season four will also place a greater emphasis on Robby, who has his own beefs with both Johnny and Daniel, which Kreese exploits. Will Robby go full-on Cobra Kai or will his Miyagi-Do background save him?
Who will return in Cobra Kai Season 4?
All of our favourite characters will return, including Ralph Macchio as Daniel LaRusso and William Zabka as Johnny Lawrence, as well as their star students Sam LaRusso (Mary Mouser) and Miguel (Xolo Mariduea) in the new season.
Expect to see more of Demetri (Gianni Decenzo) and Hawk (Jacob Bertrand), the ‘binary brothers’ who return to the fold after rescuing Demetri’s arm from being broken during a confrontation with Cobra Kai.
