Army of the Dead Anime Prequel Is Being Produced by Zack Snyder and Netflix

Zack Snyder and Netflix are working on a prequel anime series to the ‘Army of the Dead’ film, Lost Vegas is the name. Moreover, fans will be pleased to know that.
Following the release of famed director Zack Snyder’s Justice League cut. The debut of the Army of the Dead universe, 2021 has been dubbed the Year of the Snyder.
On May 21st, the zombie action film was released. To rave reviews throughout the world. And on October 29th, the prequel film, ‘Army of Thieves,’ was released.
Fans, on the other hand, are already anticipating what’s next in Netflix’s new expanded universe. Particularly the spin-off anime series ‘Lost Vegas.’
Army Of The Dead: Lost Vegas Anime: Details
Netflix is producing a prequel anime style spin-off series. That will depict the early stages of the zombie epidemic. Which will be welcomed by fans.
Both a prequel film, “Army of Thieves” and an anime-style TV series are in the works. As per formal confirmation in September 2020.
Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas will be the title of the anime series. That will focus on the core cast’s experiences during the early phases of the zombie outbreak.
Synder will direct two of the six episodes. On the other hand, showrunner Jay Oliva has confirmed that he will also produce two of the episodes.
The Meduzarts production team, which has previously created huge trailers for Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag. Furthermore, Rainbow Six Siege, Mortal Kombat X, Battlefront 2 and Dawn of War will be animating Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas.
Army Of The Dead: Lost Vegas Anime: Release Date
Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas has yet to receive an official release date as of this writing.
The animated series’ production appears to be in its early phases of creation, so fans shouldn’t expect it to launch anytime soon.
Early-2022 is an optimistic projection, but we expect additional details to emerge in the weeks after the premiere of Army of Thieves.
Army Of The Dead: Lost Vegas: Cast
Dave Bautista, Tig Notaro, Ana De La Reguera, Omari Hardwick, and Ella Purnell, among others, will reprise their roles from the original Army of the Dead film for the anime-style series.
The anime will, however, introduce a few new characters to the franchise, with the addition of the following actors confirmed:
- Joe Manganiello as Rose
- Christian Slater as Torrance
- Harry Lennix as Boorman
- Ross Butler as Chen
- Vanessa Hudgens as Willow
