On March 29, 2024, alarming reports emerged on social media, indicating that popular YouTuber and streamer YourFellowArab, also known as “Arab,” had been kidnapped in Haiti. The distressing update was initially posted by @FearedBuck on X, citing an excerpt from Atlas News, which reported the abduction of a US journalist in Haiti.
According to the report, YourFellowArab, accompanied by his Haitian colleague Sacra Sean, had traveled to Delmas 6 in Haiti for an interview with an individual known as Jimmy “Barbecue” Cerisier, a member of the criminal organization “Lanmó 100 jou.” Unfortunately, they were both abducted by the same criminal group that Jimmy “Barbecue” was associated with.

The criminal organization, demanding a hefty ransom of $600,000 USD, seized YourFellowArab and his colleague. Although an initial payment of $40,000 USD was reportedly made to the gang, YourFellowArab remained in captivity, and the full ransom amount was still being demanded.
Twitch streamer Lalem provided an update on YourFellowArab’s situation, confirming the kidnapping and stating that efforts were underway to secure his release. Lalem expressed gratitude for the support received and assured followers that YourFellowArab would be freed soon.

Additionally, a video of YourFellowArab, allegedly filmed before his abduction, circulated on social media. In the video, he explained the risks of traveling to Port-au-Prince at night due to the area being controlled by gangs. Despite having safe passage, he emphasized the dangers posed by armed gang members and the need to avoid traveling during the night.
The news of YourFellowArab’s kidnapping has shocked many, including YouTube star Darren “IShowSpeed,” who expressed surprise and concern about the situation. As efforts continue to secure YourFellowArab’s safe release, the online community remains hopeful for a positive outcome and stands in solidarity with him and his family during this challenging time.
