In response to a YouTuber calling her a cokehead, Nicki Minaj is seeking a default judgment. XXL has learned that Nicki Minaj filed a request for a certificate of default after Marley Green aka “Nosey Heaux” failed to respond to her defamation lawsuit on Thursday (Feb. 24). In the documents, Nicki’s lawyer, Judd Burstein, wrote that the defendants have not answered the complaint or otherwise moved, so the time for them to do so has expired. Burstein states in the lawsuit that he sent Green’s lawyer, Bobby Samini, the summons and complaint in October 2022 and extended the deadline for their response to December 2022. Afterwards, the court approved another extension to Jan. 16, 2023, but Green has not responded.

The case stems from Nicki Minaj’s lawsuit against Green, which she filed in September 2022. According to the lawsuit, Green allegedly called Nicki a “cokehead” who shoves cocaine up her nose in a video. Further, Nicki claims Green posted vile comments about her son, who is just one year old. On March 3, rapper Nicki Minaj will release her first solo single of 2023, a track called Red Ruby Da Sleeze. She announced the track on Thursday (Feb. 23) by posting behind-the-scenes videos from the video shoot, then posted the single’s art on Instagram. While stirring a frying pan, she stares down at the camera as she poses next to a chef in a restaurant kitchen. Known for her bright, patterned vintage Jean Paul Gaultier dresses, yellow heels, and split-dyed hair, Minaj is as colourful as ever.

It was filed after Marley Green aka “Nosey Heaux” failed to respond to the defamation lawsuit. According to Nicki’s lawyer, Judd Burstein, the defendants have not answered or otherwise moved on the complaint, and the deadline for them to do so has passed. It is stated that Burstein emailed Green’s lawyer, Bobby Samini, the summons and complaint in October of 2022 and extended the deadline for their response to December 2022. It was then granted a request to extend the deadline until Jan. 16, 2023, but Green has not responded.

In September 2022, Minaj filed a lawsuit against Green in New York, resulting in this case. A lawsuit filed by the rap superstar alleges that Green defamed her by calling her a “cokehead” who shoves cocaine up her nose in a video. In addition, Nicki claims that Green left vile comments about Nicki’s 1-year-old son in the video. Defamatory remarks made by Green about his client in the offending video were cited as grounds for Burstein’s actions in Nicki’s initial lawsuit. Marley Green is a disgrace — someone with no fundamental sense of decency who made rude comments about Nicki’s one-year-old child, he said. The name “Nosey Heaux” will no longer be allowed to her once the case is over because we will take her trademark when she doesn’t have enough money to pay the judgment. Nicki is seeking punitive damages exceeding $75,000 since Green has not responded to her lawsuit.
