YourFellowArab, a prominent YouTuber and Twitch streamer, has adamantly refuted allegations suggesting that his recent kidnapping ordeal in Haiti was staged.
The content creator found himself in a harrowing situation when he was abducted and held for ransom by Lanmò Sanjou, the leader of the 400 Mazowo gang, during a trip to Haiti. After enduring over two weeks in captivity, YourFellowArab was eventually released, with Sanjou purportedly stating that no ransom was paid.
The circumstances surrounding YourFellowArab’s release have sparked speculation, particularly due to a peculiar video that surfaced, depicting him seated alongside his captor. Some skeptics argue that the entire ordeal may have been fabricated, especially considering his release without the payment of the demanded $600,000 ransom.
During a recent appearance on Sneako’s Rumble stream on March 30, YourFellowArab addressed the speculation head-on, providing insights into his traumatic experience and vehemently denying any notion of fakery.
He recounted being forcibly taken away in a vehicle by his captors, who then initiated negotiations for ransom by contacting his family. The YouTuber emphasized that the videos circulating on social media, showing him seemingly relaxed in the presence of his captors, were merely a facade to mask the perilous situation he was in.
Addressing allegations of scripting in the kidnapping video, YourFellowArab dismissed such claims, asserting that the footage captured the grim reality of his circumstances.
Regarding the ransom ordeal, he explained that despite the initial payment made by his family, his release was not orchestrated as promised. Instead, intervention from another gang leader, Jimmy ‘Barbecue’ Cherizier, reportedly facilitated his freedom after threats of escalation.
In conclusion, YourFellowArab reiterated the authenticity of his kidnapping experience and emphasized the crucial role played by Barbecue in securing his release. Despite the skepticism surrounding the incident, he remains steadfast in his account of the events and continues to seek closure after his traumatic ordeal.
