The judge assigned to the Young Dolph murder case has removed himself from the case after an appeal. The rapper Young Dolph was shot dead in November 2021. Ever since then the suspects of the murder have been awaiting trial for the same. Although, before the case could move forward with its new date. The judge has withdrawn himself from it.

Rapper Young Dolph whose real name is Adoplh Thorton Jr. was shot dead in a Memphis Bakery back in November 2021. Where he had gone to buy cookies. The suspects of the rapper’s murder were found eventually in Justin Johnson and two other men.
The three of the suspects have been awaiting their trial. Though Johnson and Cornelius Smith have pleaded for being not guilty in the murder case. While now the judge assigned to the Young Dolph murder case has removed himself from the case.
Judge Lee Coffee removes himself from Young Dolph murder case
It was by the Tennessee appeals court that the judge assigned to the Young Dolph murder case was ordered to remove himself from the case. Owing to the same order, Shelby Counter Criminal Court judge Lee Coffee has removed himself from the Dolph murder case.
Previously on the appeal of Justin Johnson’s lawyer, Coffee had refused to take himself off the case. The lawyer argued about Coffee for not informing him about the order limiting ability of Justin’s communicate with people outside jail other than the lawyer. Though now Coffee is out of the case as he removed himself.

After removing himself from the Young Dolph case, Coffee asked the court clerk to assign another judge for the case. While Coffee was the judge of the rapper’s murder case, he allotted March 11, 2024, to be the trial date for the suspects.
Meanwhile, the new decision by Coffee to remove himself off the case may have an impact on the trial timings. Though lawyer of the suspect is looking forward to having his day in the court soon. While it would be important to see as to whom the case would be handled to now.
