Upon the disbandment of the popular K-pop girl band, Yein is on road to embark upon her solo career.
Yein’s solo Venture
Former Lovelyz member, Yein prepares to go solo. On November 11, 2021, the agency released a statement announcing,
“We’ve signed an exclusive contract with Yein. We will fully support her so that she can showcase her talents in various fields such as music, acting, and variety shows. Please show lots of anticipation and support for Yein’s activities in the future.”
Above all, Sublime Art Agency has launched the careers of many K-pop artists. Some notable names include Rain, Kim Hee-jung, Yoon Jung-hee, and NS Yoon-G. GOT7‘s Jackson and Youngjae, Ki Eun-Se, Lee Yong-woo and Han Eu-Ddeum rose to fame under the same banner.
Most importantly, the singer will be releasing her first solo single album soon.
In addition, Yein has starred in two web dramas as well, namely, The Blue Sea and Criminal Minds.
Some of Yein’s hit songs include, “Ah-Choo,” “Destiny,” “Twinkle,” “Hi~,” and “Now We.”
Why Did Lovelyz Disband?
Lovelyz, under the banner of Woollim Entertainment, is one of the most popular K-pop bands. The band made their debut in 2014 with the album Girls’ invasion. Baby Soul, the main vocalist, and rapper was the leader of the band.
Alongside Yein, the other members were Baby Soul, Jiae, Jisoo, Mijoo, Kei, Jin, and Sujeong.
However, seven years post their debut, the girl group decided to start afresh. In other words, they confirmed the rumors of disbandment. Except for the Baby Soul, the others chose to discontinue their contracts with the company.
On November 1, 2021, they took to Instagram to officially announce their split.
“This is our official statement regarding the expiration of Lovelyz’s exclusive contracts. Our exclusive contracts with the Lovelyz members will expire on November 16, 2021. After long and deep discussion and deliberation, seven Lovelyz members have decided to prepare for different beginnings at new places, and we decided to respect and support the members’ thoughts. Of the Lovelyz members, Baby Soul has renewed her contract with faith she has built up with us for a long time.”
Their sweet vocals and girlish charms have led to fan-following of 422k followers on Instagram. In addition to their several hits, the most recent mini-album was ‘Unforgettable’ released in September.
Other Members Join New Agencies Too
Sources reveal the other members have signed with different agencies too. Mijoo has signed with Antenna Music. Similarly, Jiae has signed with YG Kplus.
In addition, Jisoo joined Mystic Story to be an actor. Likewise, Kei is on road to launching her musical acting career. For this, she has joined hands with Palmtree Island.
