Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, made headlines once again during his recent Vultures 2 show in South Korea. On Friday, August 23, Ye and Ty Dolla $ign took over Goyang Stadium for a Vultures 2 listening party, giving thousands of fans a night to remember. In addition to performing a medley of hits from his expansive discography, Ye took the opportunity to shout out longtime rival Drake and lead a crowd chant against Adidas.
The concert was a grand spectacle, with Ye and Ty Dolla $ign making a dramatic entrance on horseback before kicking off the performance. Ye, known for his larger-than-life stage presence, treated the South Korean audience to a solo set spanning his entire career. The medley featured over 70 tracks, including iconic hits like “Stronger,” “Runaway,” and “Famous.” Fans were on their feet as Ye picked up the mic and rapped along to his classic songs, creating an electric atmosphere inside the stadium.

Amidst his powerful performances, Ye surprised the crowd by giving a shout-out to his longtime frenemy, Drake, before launching into “I Wonder,” a standout track from his 2007 album Graduation. “This one for Drake,” Ye said, much to the shock of fans who have followed the years-long beef between the two rappers. While some initially thought Ye was trolling, others saw it as an olive branch of sorts. Drake is known to be a fan of “I Wonder,” having posted lyrics from the song on social media following their 2021 Larry Hoover Benefit Concert in Los Angeles. The two have shared a rocky relationship, marked by public feuds and collaborations, but Ye’s shout-out suggested a softening of his stance on the Canadian rapper.
The concert wasn’t all peace and praise, though. Ye made his disdain for Adidas clear, leading the audience in a chant of “f**k Adidas” before diving into another *Graduation* hit, “Can’t Tell Me Nothing.” Ye’s animosity towards the sportswear giant has been simmering since 2022, when he accused Adidas of stealing his designs. The feud escalated later that year when Adidas terminated its partnership with Ye after he made several anti-Semitic comments. Despite their long-standing rivalry, Ye’s opini on of Drake has shown some signs of shifting in recent years. Back in 2022, Ye praised Drake during an unreleased interview that was reshared online by Candace Owens in August. When asked about the greatest rappers of all time, Ye was quick to mention Drake alongside Jay-Z. “Drake is the best rapper ever by the numbers. Jay-Z is the greatest rapper ever by the inspiration,” Ye said, acknowledging both their influence on the hip-hop landscape.
While the beef between Ye and Drake has been ongoing for more than a decade, it has taken many twists and turns, with moments of reconciliation and continued tension. Earlier this year, Ye even inserted himself into Drake’s ongoing feud with Kendrick Lamar, Future, and Metro Boomin, adding his own flair to the drama by remixing their track “Like That.” Although the remix was repeatedly removed from YouTube due to copyright issues, Ye’s involvement only reignited discussions about his complicated relationship with Drake.
As for his public feud with Adidas, it’s clear that Ye has no intention of letting the past go. The breakup with the brand, which had previously propelled him into the fashion world as a major designer, remains a sore point for the artist. His scathing words against Adidas during the South Korea show reinforced his determination to distance himself from the brand that, in his eyes, betrayed him.
