XXXTentacion mother Cleopatra Bernard is reportedly being forced to disclose how much money she received after her son died after an attorney for one of the men accused of killing him has successfully argued that she should be required to do so. Three of the four men charged with XXXTentacion’s murder were on trial on Monday (Jan. 9). Michael Boatwright, Dedrick Williams, and Trayvon Newsome appeared at the hearing. As South Florida news outlet Local10 reports, Boatwright’s lawyer managed to convince Judge Micheal Usan to order Cleopatra Bernard to reveal the amount of money she has accumulated since XXXTentacion died.

The attorney for Bernard, Robert H. Trachman, has argued that the information Boatwright’s attorney seeks to compel is irrelevant and highly confidential, according to documents obtained by XXL. As a result of the reasons outlined above, the defendant below does not have the right to the discovery he seeks concerning Ms. Cleopatra Bernard’s assets. The discovery sought by the defendant has no relevance to any pending issues before the court, Trachman wrote. According to reports, the judge sided with Boatwright’s defense team in the end.

In The XXXTentacion Trial, Money Received By X’s Mother After He Died Is To Be Revealed

In order to obtain a conviction for the murder of XXXTentacion, one of the men accused successfully argued that his client’s mother should be required to disclose how much money she received after his death. Trayvon Newsome, Michael Boatwright, and Dedrick Williams had hearings on Monday (Jan. 9) for their involvement in XXXTentacion’s murder in 2018. The attorney for Boatwright was able to convince Judge Micheal Usan to order Cleopatra Bernard to reveal the amount of money she has amassed following her son’s death, according to Local10. XXL obtained court documents showing that Bernard’s attorney Robert H. Trachman has been opposing Boatwright’s motion to compel, stating that the information is irrelevant and highly confidential.

Trachman wrote in court records that the defendant is not entitled to the discovery he seeks concerning Ms. Bernard’s assets because it is not relevant to any matter pending before this court. According to reports, the judge sided with Boatwright’s defense team. The jury selection process for the trial is scheduled to begin on Wednesday (Jan. 11). Fourth suspect Robert Allen is set to testify against Boatwright, Williams, and Newsome as part of a plea deal he entered last August. According to the police, XXXTentacion was ambushed as he left RIVA Motorsports on June 18, 2018. Multiple men approached XXX’s vehicle as he was exiting the parking lot. A Louis Vuitton bag was taken from the rapper’s car by a man who fled in an awaiting car, according to witnesses. An update on the case provided by attorneys for Dedrick Williams included a list of possible witnesses, such as Drake, Quavo, 6ix9ine, Joe Budden, etc.
