A recent interaction between Twitch star Imane “Pokimane” and FaZe Clan’s Kaysan has sparked widespread debate online, with prominent streamer Felix “xQc” weighing in on the situation. On December 2, 2024, Pokimane revealed a series of private X (formerly Twitter) direct messages with Kaysan during a Twitch livestream. The messages, which quickly went viral, showed Kaysan inviting her to dinner in a manner that many found controversial.

The Viral DMs

The messages began with a seemingly cordial exchange. FaZe Kaysan apologized for misjudging Pokimane in the past and suggested taking her out to dinner to make amends. Pokimane initially seemed open to the idea, suggesting a group outing with the FaZe boys to a Middle Eastern restaurant. However, Kaysan countered, writing, “No, no, not the FaZe boys, just us. How else can we become friends?”

xQc’s Reaction

During his Kick livestream, xQc came across a post by X user @FearedBuck that highlighted the exchange. After reading the messages, the streamer described Kaysan’s approach as “straight-up harassment.”

“What?! Okay, that’s harassment. I don’t give a f**k,” xQc exclaimed. “Guys, I’m not being a white knight. That’s harassment, straight-up! That’s weird. Weird.”

However, the former Overwatch pro later backtracked, clarifying that his comments were meant as a joke:

“Okay, that was a joke, just making sure. It’s not a funny topic, but still. Guys, that was a joke! Holy s**t! Yo, lighten up! Lighten up! Jesus!”

FaZe Plaqueboymax Joins the Discussion

Another FaZe member, Maxwell “FaZe Plaqueboymax,” also weighed in on the viral exchange, but with a more humorous tone. Plaqueboymax expressed admiration for Kaysan’s boldness, even laughing at his persistence:

“Listen, he’s shooting. You know? And I respect that a lot. But then, he doubled down! He doubled down with the, ‘No, no, not the FaZe boys, just us.’ Oh st! Yo, bro, I’m telling y’all something—this st made my morning.”

FaZe Kaysan Responds

As the interaction gained traction, Kaysan defended himself, encouraging others not to shy away from expressing interest: “People should never be afraid to shoot their shot.”

The incident has sparked mixed reactions across the internet. While some criticized Kaysan’s persistence as inappropriate, others saw his actions as harmless and bold. xQc’s initial reaction and subsequent clarification added another layer of complexity to the discussion.

For now, the interaction remains a hot topic, highlighting the fine line between being forward and crossing boundaries in online communication. Whether seen as harassment or a bold move, it’s clear that the viral exchange has left the internet divided.
