You might know about PewDiePie as it is one of the biggest names on the Internet. He is popular as he was one of the people who made efforts first for growing “lets players” over the Internet. His YouTube channel has become the most subscribed channel on the popular video-streaming platform.
Though he is Swedish he lives in t he United Kingdom For some time. Once, in the year 2019, he said that he will be shifting abroad as he is going to purchase a new house in Japan soon.
As of now, he has not shifted to Japan and his plan is delayed by two years. Some of his fans says that he is currently in a different location. They are sure about it because he is creating videos in a different location which is unusual from his usual office. This can be a sign that he will be shifting overseas soon.
Pewdiepie Revealed Why He Has Not Moved To Japan
Recently on 29 December 2021, PewDiePie has finally opened up to his living situation and not being able to shift to Japan for settling down. This question has been asked by his fans for a long time now.
PewDiePie said, because of the Covid-19 pandemic situation Japan government was not allowing foreigners to enter the country because of which he could not Shift to that place. He also stated a problem that he faced while issuing a business visa, through necessary offices and employees, that would help him to get permission for living there for five years. Therefore he could not cross the border even.
He claimed that he was guilty as he could not move to Japan because of the pandemic. Then he said, “I did not want to be someone well off who is complaining about how the virus is affecting them.”
He added, “even just choosing to move there was difficult. We obviously would be leaving everything that we built here behind, all these amazing friends, but we just felt like we wanted to take on this adventure while we are still young.”
“I’m almost sorry for even making this video. It just feels super lame. I don’t like talking about this. It feels like I’m complaining and I feel entitled”, PewDiePie said.
At last, he wished everyone good luck who are facing the same situation as him. He urged Japan to state when will it allow foreigners to travel to that place again.
