Following seven years of marriage, the couple decided to call it quits. The couple cited “irreconcilable differences” as their reasons for divorce. Documents filed with the court indicate that she made the decision to change her name on her own.

Kelly wrote that she wanted to be called by both her first and middle names in court documents obtained by US Weekly.

When explaining her reasoning for changing her name, she wrote, “I feel my new name more closely reflects who I am.” An appearance for the petition has been scheduled for March 28, 2022.
