Why FBI Shuts Down Undertaker PARODY Twitter Account?
3 min readDuring his three-decade career, The Undertaker sacrificed his body for fans, becoming a living legend in the process. It’s no coincidence that he is universally loved. Due to his fame, it comes as no surprise that The Undertaker is often impersonated, especially online. An account parodying The Undertaker appears to have been shut down by the FBI. Despite Elon Musk’s promise that Twitter would become a free speech outlet, parody accounts don’t seem to qualify. Twitter appeared to have been contacted by the FBI San Francisco office to shut down four accounts, according to author Matt Taibbi.
“HELLO TWITTER CONTACTS”: The master-canine quality of the FBI’s relationship to Twitter comes through in this November 2022 email, in which “FBI San Francisco is notifying you” it wants action on four accounts: pic.twitter.com/LjgB6fxENo

One of those accounts was the Pissed Off Taker parody account, which poked fun at The Deadman. Whenever the account posts, David Bixenspan reports that The Undertaker is blaming an imaginary character known as ‘Mr. Brown.’ As I’ve said, I have pretty clear thoughts on “The Twitter Files,” but… why did the FBI’s San Francisco office request that Twitter suspends an account that generally tweets about The Undertaker spitting out the pants/blaming it on an imaginary entity named Mr. Brown? It was taken down by the FBI as the parody account was suspended at the time. A November email revealed that the account could “possibly violate Twitter’s Terms of Service” or be deemed inappropriate within Twitter’s policies.
This is the wildest thing to ever happen on here. The FBI contacted Twitter about a parody account that posted funny tweets about the Undertaker shitting his pants… https://t.co/8xwmjkCmRo

Undertaker Parody Accounts On Twitter Has Been Taken Down By The FBI
Elon Musk promised that Twitter would become a platform for free speech when he acquired the social media platform. It appears that these rules do not apply to parodies of legendary WWE Superstars. It appears the FBI San Francisco office contacted Twitter about shutting down four accounts, as noted by author Matt Taibbi. A parody account that pokes fun at WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker was included. Generally, the account tweets about “The Deadman” soiling himself and blaming it on an imaginary character named Mr. Brown, according to Wrestling Inc. contributor David Bixenspan. The FBI also appears to have gotten what it wanted. It’s unclear if the FBI requested that the Undertaker parody account be taken down, as it was suspended at the time of this writing.
I've been pretty clear about my thoughts on "The Twitter Files," but…

Twitter’s Terms of Service” or “deemed inappropriate within Twitter policy” could potentially apply to this account, along with others included in the initial email sent in November. As per Twitter’s parody, commentary, and fan account policy, parody accounts may be registered, provided they clearly indicate that they are parodies in their names and bios. In addition, they cannot use a fake name to mislead, confuse, deceive others or disrupt the Twitter experience of others. Undertaker has not yet responded to the news, but he’s likely to be more focused on promoting his upcoming ‘1 Deadman Show’ in Canada.
