Taylor Swift was not just going to be one of the performers but she was also going to headline the event along with Paul McCartney and Kendrick Lamar this year.
Moreover, following the cancellation of the grand music festival Taylor Swift revealed that performing in events like this always fascinated her. She was always keen to try out new things. This includes performing in places she had never performed in previously, and this included the Glastonbury music festival. The artist said she hasn’t performed in festivals since early in her career. Moreover, she revealed she finds music festivals really entertaining as it brings people together in a memorable way.

Why Did Taylor Swift Turn Down Glastonbury 2022?
Without a doubt, she had the opportunity to headline it this year, but she declined the invitation to the festival. While there is nothing wrong with the festival itself, Taylor Swift has declined to participate because she feels that it is not the right time to her. Sources revealed that performing at such events still happens to be on her bucket list, but as of now, that is not her priority. She is currently working and re-recording her old albums and getting those completed.
Back in 2019, Taylor Swift made an announcement regarding her performance at the Glastonbury Music Festival. She took to Twitter to announce that she would be one of the headliners at the 50th anniversary of the Glastonbury Music Festival.
However, she will not be performing in the much-awaited music event and politely declined the invitation for the same. This year’s festival will feature most of the lineup from Glastonbury 2020, with Kendrick Lamar already confirmed to appear. Diana Ross will perform at the coveted legends slot, while Billie Eilish will play the famed Pyramid.
