Mariah Carey is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and record producer whose five-octave vocal range, melismatic singing style, and signature use of the whistle register have made her referred to as the “Songbird Supreme” and the “Queen of Christmas”.
Nick and Mariah’s Dating History
Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey’s story had always been a fairy tale. The couple had officially met back in 2005 at “Teen Choice Awards”. Within a few weeks of dating, the couple tied the knot and even started a small and happy family. The couple gave birth to two twins back in 2011, Monroe and Moroccan.
Soon, in 2014 speculations started to arise about a divorce. Soon, their divorce was finalized in 2016. Despite years of speculation that Carey was the bigger celebrity and drove them apart, Cannon said that he always knew whom he was with.
“Wild ‘n Out” star confirmed that she always used to say it worked because it was a healthy and functional relationship. Further she stated that she never felt that she had to compete with herself. And, she was comfortable in her own skin and who she was. With resentment she said that she did not know where it went wrong.

In an interview Mariah Carey opened up about how tough it was for her to balance her career as well as personal life with Nick especially after the birth of her twins.
The marriage between the stars took an unexpected turn as a result of all the new stresses. As Carey explained, via Stylecaster, “We took a toll on each other while making the necessary adult adjustments to being working parents in entertainment.”
However, according to Nick Cannon the marriage would have worked out had their inflamed egos and emotions not acted as obstacles in the course of their relationship.
The Both Of Them Have Decided To Remain Dedicated Parents
Both Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey still remain dedicated parents, telling Us Weekly, “You realize that unconditional love is all you need when you put your children first.” As a result, “all of that other stuff just falls apart.”
