Whoopi Goldberg Responds to Rumors About Her Sexuality Amidst Raven-Symoné’s ‘Lesbian Vibes’ Comment

Whoopi Goldberg discussed rumors surrounding her sexuality after Raven-Symoné stated she gave off “lesbian vibes.” The Sister Act actress told Page Six’s The Best Podcast Ever with Raven and Miranda that women have been questioning her about her sexuality for as long as she has been around. In addition to knowing some gay people and seeing them on TV, Goldberg, 67, explained that she has set limits with some gay acquaintances. My reply will be, ‘I’m not going to kiss you, but I will kiss you over there, this, then this’… “Then they will say, ‘OK’!” she says. Raven-Symoné, who appeared on The View from 2015 to 2016, mentioned Goldberg’s sexuality when she acknowledged her personal interest to her former co-host.
Goldberg, on the other hand, seems unconcerned by the question. Earlier this month, the Ghost actress, who has been divorced three times, said on The View that she was “dancing and prancing” every time she was divorced. She claimed that during her third failed marriage, things had become “expensive and boring.” At the age of 18, Goldberg married drug counsellor Alvin Martin for the first time in 1973. The couple, who had a daughter named Alexandrea, split six years later. She later married Dutch cinematographer David Claessen in 1986, but the couple divorced in 1988. In 1994, the Colour Purple actress married actor Lyle Trachtenberg. A year later, they divorced.

The 67-year-old EGOT winner spoke on the most recent episode of iHeartMedia’s The Best Podcast Ever with Raven and Miranda, when co-host Raven-Sym one said she gave off “lesbian vibes” when they co-hosted The View from June 2015 to October 2016. “Honestly, when I was around you, I adored you so much, like I only wanted to be up underneath the t—y the whole time,” Raven, 37, said to Whoopi Goldberg. It’s also because you’re giving me lesbian vibes as well! Raven went on to say, “You give me lesbian vibes, you give me stud vibes.” Miranda Maday, Raven’s wife and podcast co-host, then added, “I believe this is a secret fantasy of Raven’s.” “I believe she just wants everyone to be gay, and she’s really hoping you’ll come out right now.” “So, if you’d like to tell us anything, Whoops, you’re more than welcome to!” Raven said. “Women have been inquiring me this for as long as I’ve been around,” Whoopi says of a frequent misperception about her sexuality. I do not identify as a lesbian. But I know a lot of them and have seen them on TV.”

In spite of this, I have always had lesbian friends because they are simply my friends,” Whoopi explained. She then went on to describe the boundaries she had established with her friends. “I’m not going to kiss you, but I’m going to kiss you over here, I’ll do this but I’m not going to do this… And they say, ‘OK!'” Whoopi did not hold back. Raven later praised Whoopi for her candour and the way she displays herself. That makes me happy because I can also say that to all those who judge the lesbian or gay community.” Raven added. “There’s something lovely about women who can embrace both their masculine and feminine sides as well as you do.” “It’s wonderful, you’re not either one or the other, you’re just a human living in your body and doesn’t actually correlate to sexual orientation or any of that,” Raven continued. It’s simply the way you portray yourself, and it’s so warm… I just wanted to congratulate you on the way you live in this contradiction.”
